Earth Hour

Disappointing, really. I took the effort to drive to the park at night during Earth Hour to witness the dark city. Instead, at 8.30pm up til even now (12.05am), the lights were never switched off!

Guard house in Lembah Kiara, yet no guards?

Primary school, I suppose there's a guard or two inside but is it necessary to keep the lights on in the floors where no one's there?

Still so brightly lit, I was expecting total darkness! Ok, street lights are an exception.

1st house traitor that I spotted. And many more "rebels" that I saw when I took a quick drive around TTDI.

Oh well, try harder next year? Force TNB to make the city/country blackout? Cool! But I won't wanna walk at the park at night alone ever again. Imagine seeing trees all around you, a big lake to your right where the water is too calm, no human beings in sight, cracking branches (hopefully it was the work of the monkeys), the sounds of crickets and lizards, and other than that, absolute silence! I froze in fear for a while as I looked forward, where the dark just gets darker. I was thinking,

1. What if I see SOMETHING floating in the lake?
2. What if I see SOMETHING on the tree?
3. What if SOMETHING touched me?
4. What if I hear SOMETHING not-so-animal-like yet not-human-like either?
5. What if SOMETHING's observing me from far?
6. What if SOMETHING's following me or circling me, just that I can't see it?
7. What if I step on SOMETHING?

Because for all I know, no one can help me. And so, I decided to walk 180 degrees, back to the light! Why take on unnecessary risk right? How do I fight this fear of darkness if there really is SOMETHING?

Time for some more colourful and bright stuff!

Umbrellas outside the Monash Library after a heavy rain. Looks to me that people aren't so romantic these days, only 1 umbrella per person it seems. Don't you know that's the time where you should grab the opportunity and "KAUM!" (Robert T., 2008)

I dare say I don't smoke yet I eat cigarettes =P

Asian version of Popeye? Maybe they call him Sliteye

I don't know why they call this chocolate chip cookies, I can't see any chocolate chips on the cookies at all

Mirror image, nono not the both Myvi's. See the left glass, now that's what I'm talking!

Ok ok, I won't tuch that sokit for I am scared of dangers

Have they been working too hard or too little til they fell asleep?

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Fei Mao, I really shouldn't have fetched you back first in the first place! Should have taken my own sweet time instead, spoiler! And now I'll reveal some of my sacred ways to annoy you!

1. When Fei Mao is lying on the floor, either watching tv or doing homework: I'll find a puddle of water to step and then wipe my wet feet on her leg.

2. When the weather's very hot: I'll keep telling her "It's so hot today, don't you think?", "I think I'm sweating, are you sweating?", "Eh look, the table fan is blowing at me and not at you", "Whew! It surely is hot today, even I feel hot", etc.

3. When the phone rings and it's for my mum: "Fei Mao! You got a call!" *Fei Mao runs downstairs* "Just joking, it's for mum" ^_^

4. When Fei Mao is sleeping: *Wakes Fei Mao up* "Eh, you sleeping edi ah?"

5. Anytime we fight and I win (means my mum scolds her): *Thumbs up* + *Raise eyebrows 3 times*

6. When we're shopping in Tesco: *Tailgate her using trolley*, then suddenly *accident* OR *push the trolley at an angle when we're walking in a straight line* (her path will just get narrower as time goes by)

7. When we're walking: *Walk in front of her* and *jam break*

8. Anytime I'm standing close to her: Instead of using my mouth to blow her hair, I'll breathe out heavily through my nose and let her feel the wind (no worries, it's not a "hailstorm", just wind)

9. When I got nothing to do at home: "Fei Mao! Fei Mao!" *very excited look* Then she'll ask "What?" and I just say "Nothing!" hehehe

10. When mum passes me the wet sotongs and prawns after weighing: "Fei Mao, look, my hand is wet!" *Piak* Fei Mao: "Mum! He touch me with his yucky wet fingers!"

Come to think of it, we're even now.

Recovered!

Yay, I recovered from my fever! Was a very suffering weekend. I'm not used to sleeping more than 8 hours in a day, but I've slept like 13-14 hours on Saturday and Sunday! Plus, I can't stand heat yet I have to roll myself into a blanket looking like a Caterpie

without the turning on the fan (no Gust of Wind).

It felt like I was continously hit by Charmander's Ember!

Not to mention I'm poisoned too. Luckily my mum's been giving me a few Potions

every 2-3 hours or so, so my Hit Points didn't drop til I'm KO'ed! As I woke up today, it felt as if my Full Heal

is finally put into play and all my damage counters, poison effect and burn effect are also gone!

Ahh good old Pokemon days, which explains why my email is a

Ok enough of that, I'm just glad I have recovered! This translates into more random pics (my fav!)

I didn't know you can actually perfectly peel a coconut like this!

Top view (before), it looks like any ordinary pau, namely Kaya Pau

Top view (after), now it looks like a Siu Long Bau, kind of

Harrison's dirty rubber (before)

Harrison's clean rubber (after)

He sure is weird, he use my rubber eraser to rub his rubber eraser, we did all that in class, cool or not?! Too bad my phone camera can't really show the difference between how different the first 2 rubber pics are

This makes me wonder, what is the definition of a HANDbook? Shouldn't it be something small, light, thin, portable, and comes only in 1 volume? Imagine carrying 3 of those so called handbooks around everyday. In no time, can become the 301st Spartan

At least now I'm very satisfied with the definition of HANDphone (btw, thanks Ken for your hp)

Oh ya, I've got a cure to help forgetful people, such as myself. Just imagine a gun is pointed at your head and you only have 5 secs to remember 'it' or else the trigger will be pulled :P

P.s. Let's try not to rock the boat this time, ok?

Something's NOT Right

I think there's a virus in my brain's program.

Yesterday:
1. Afternoon, I forgot to take my books out of Smartboy's car.
2. Evening time, I drove to his place but I kinda forgot how to go to his house.
3. Got the books and headed back home, ran upstairs and forgot to take the books out of the car.
4. Mum told me to throw the rubbish when I go downstairs and collect the books from the car.
5. I was very full, so I lied down for a while. I ended up sleeping from 9.30pm to 8.00am.
6. I woke up, and I realized, I didn't study, I didn't brush my teeth, I didn't feed my fish, I didn't throw the rubbish, I didn't annoy Fei Mao, I didn't do anything!

Today:
1. I think my brain's antivirus got rid of the virus while I was asleep.
2. I collected my books from the car.
3. I will study later.
4. I brushed my teeth.
5. I fed my fish.
6. I threw the rubbish.
7. I will annoy Fei Mao later.
8. I will do something!

And who said humans are not like computers? =P

Back to some random pics (sorry, not much pics today):

Choon said this is a male's body wearing female's clothing, it does look a bit masculine but also feminine ... perhaps can save cost by using this for male and female clothing =P

Me: Eeeeee Mum, why the fish sooooo red?
Mum: It's ikan merah.
Me: Oh -_-

Look at the 3rd sweet, that's the first time that has happened in my 2-3 years of buying those sweets every week (maybe their sweet-wrapper-machine-thing-got-virus-too-hmm)

Tired But Not Retired

I thought exercise was good but now I'm aching all over. Not so much on my arms but my feet, calves and thighs, they can barely move. Based on my extensive research, I have found that there are always causes and effects and a reason to why things happen the way they do.

Scientific Approach:

Causes: Futsal (legs), badminton (arms and legs) and shopping (legs).

Effects: Legs are more tired than the arms.

Explanation: Legs are used 3 times while arms are used only once. Other factors remain constant (ceteris paribus). Overall, the tiredness factor is weighed more heavily to the legs having 3/4 and the arms only having 1/4 out of a fully tired basis. Wow that surely was some serious monster-like calculations!

Philosophical View:

Reason to why things happen the way they do: It's fated that I study today.

Explanation: I promised Fei Mao that I'll let her use the laptop in the afternoon and evening. My legs can't move much, so I'll be sitting at one spot only. My hands and arms are free to move, therefore flipping pages will be a breeze. As I have nothing to do at home today and it is my responsibility to study, so be it.

That certainly was a long and useful research that I've spent minutes on =P

And now, it's time for more random pics:

If you can read (fish) lips, the last thing it said before it got hit and died was "Nooooo!"

(Is that right Professional-Lip-Reader Panda?) lol

I never liked dolls coz they scare the monkey out of me

And this one, imagine that doll is creeping behind me like poor Mr. Bear, that would have scared the monkey out of the monkey that has been scared out of me

To be a magnolia out of dutch ladies - A person who is truly different from the rest

To be a sunkist out of daisies - A person who hides in disguise (aka spy)

This used to be a mini lake, now it's almost dried up

It's weird that the middle is seperated in almost 1 straight line!

Let me introduce my friends to you, they sleep by my side everyday.
(L to R: Monkey, Monkey, Koala, Monkey, Monkey)

They do not know how to translate properly.
Lepas pakai tolong tarik tali = After wearing please pull string

Ok, time to pass the laptop to Fei Mao. Ciao!

Btw, did anyone realize there were 2 consecutive Friday the 13ths this year?

(P.s. I'll try my best not to make you sesat tomorrow Bunny! It isn't mission impossible, so don't worry too much k? lol)

Quite a bad day but it's ok

1. It started with losing RM1 coz the cheapest bookshop did not have the book, and the cheaper bookshop was temporarily closed.

2. Then, the number 17 which had my name on it just had to be called out. There were 27 people in the class, why 17? Eh come to think of it, I blame Chia Her coz he got number 18 when by right, I usually sit beside Jit (number 19). (jk only la Chia Her, no worries) Anyway, I was FORCED to present my answers for that involuntary question. Big time screwy dewy! I directly quoted from the textbook and I couldn't answer even a simple question by the tutor, my brains got frozen up (well, at least that still means I'm cool right?) :P Come to think of it, even if you gave me a week to present my answers for that particular question, the result might still be the same haha

I should have read the horoscopes page early in the morning today, for once it is accurate!

Oh ya, here's what's in my uni:

Can you see that egg shaped object beside the 2nd pillar from the left? That's a botak head

Smartboy Jit didn't do a smart thing for once, he wasted 30 sen printing these papers. Why was he charged?

Becoz this Adobe Acrobat Document had been scanned sooooo thoroughly! They even scanned empty pages with stapled hole marks.

And a pink BMW driven by a guy! You don't get to see that often right?

I've been thinking about this also,

For a fully functional clock, does time move the gears of the clock or the gears of the clock move time?

THANK GOD!

Did you know that a little problem can stay little if left unattended but can turn into a huge problem if left attended to someone like me.

Here's how it goes:

1. I found out that my computer had some kind of virus that not even my antivirus is capable of dealing with.

2. I surfed the net and found many websites that offered help.

3. Stated in those websites, delete the file SCVHOST.EXE while I looked it wrongly and deleted the file SVCHOST.EXE, then I restarted my computer.

4. My heart stopped for a moment and I thought it was the end of the world! I couldn't cut, copy, paste, no internet, no bluetooth, no taskbar, etc. etc. All that's in my mind was, no msn, no facebook, no Scramble, no life.

5. I kept my calm, I thought about it then, it's not so bad. I can actually study in the meantime and do other more productive stuff. But I kept trying to find a solution to the problem and wasted 5 hours or so.

6. I recovered deleted files using about 3 file recovery programs but no positive result. I googled let's say 20 forums on how to solve that problem but no answer. Finally, I decided to just take that file from my bro's computer and amazingly, it worked! PHEW PHEW!

7. And so I've learnt my lesson, not to touch anything in the windows or system or whatever you call it of the computer ever again! I shall now be a good boy and catch up on my studies once more!

Vacation Trip

A truly beautiful Thursday it was. First a lecture class in the morning, and we're all set to leave on our vacation trip! To where? That'll be answered later on.

We're ready to leave alright!

Look at the excitement on everyone's face!

Oh woops, forgot to introduce: (Clockwise from top left: Me, Tsui Han, Chia Her, Kenneth, Yun Theng, Choon ... too bad Smartboy Jit couldn't come, had some errands to run)

Just for the green view: We took the road less travelled by, the road not taken (is this a paradox?)

Our luggage, too much to fit into one boot, so we had to use another car too

After going through the auditing process, I confirmed that our luggage has been checked and there's no stock loss. Oh the sighs of relief from the other 3.

Me and Kenneth transferring luggage while Chia Her gets ready to open the boot. From this point onwards, we had to diversify, we 3 in 1 car, the other 3 in another car.

I dunno what we're looking at, maybe got birdshit?

Doing adjustment entries and off we drove to the hotel and booked in. Finally got the chance to bathe after a long trip.

Hence, our new clothes!

All ready to leave for dinner!

And here's where we headed to, Pulau Ketam! It was a looooooong journey alright! We sped at 140km/h, so we reached before night.

Our dinner: Steamboat

Patience is a virtue, look at us patient people :P

Steamboatophobia! To open or not to open?

Chia Her: The sensation! (I have no idea why he likes to use that word)

I dunno what kung fu move he used, as no one knows for sure what he's actually doing.

Our patience has earned us this! Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm (the soup especially)

Ok, the whole story was made up. Here's how it actually is:

1. Lecture in the morning.
2. Badminton after that at Taman Megah.
3. We all travelled using one car. For the first, second and third picture, we just played badminton, so can you imagine how sticky, sweaty and smelly everyone were? Plus, 4 people stuffing behind? Oh, the sensation -_-
4. Our luggage were just our uni stuff and badminton rackets.
5. We had to split to 2 cars, so we headed back to the free Sunway/Monash made-up-carpark (picture 4) and find Chia Her's car.
6. Me, Kenneth and Chia Her went to Kenneth's house (referred to as the hotel) to bathe while Choon, Yun Theng and Tsui Han went to Choon's house to bathe.
7. We went to Bukit Tinggi, Klang (if I'm not mistaken) to eat dinner at Be Be Ho Steamboat that has the words Pulau Ketam.
8. Maybe not all parts of the story was made up, the soup really was good!
9. After dinner, go eat fried chicken at I-dunno-where-coz-I-am-not-familiar-with-the-area-there.
10. Headed home and that's it. Our "vacation trip" haha
