A Lazy Weekend

The weekend has been too relaxing for me. Since Thursday noon til now, I haven't done anything productive as what I should be doing. All I did was study 10 pages of lecture slides per day (10 pages x 6 slides = 60 slides per day) and spending the rest of my time reading 'One Piece' manga (10 volumes per day X 20 pages = 200 pages per day). And to make it worse, 1 page of 'One Piece' has about 6 so-called "slides" in it, so it's 1,200 slides per day. That translates to 2000% of what I study. Not to forget I also stayed up late almost every day playing online games. Well, there's still Sunday, so hopefully I can do something about it. This may seem weird but I actually make self-promises to myself and go all-out to fulfill them. It's like an injunction order refraining me from doing something deemed unproductive although there's no one who can stop me from not doing so. Ok, I just confused myself with that last sentence, should that 'not' be there?

Well, at least I've been THINKING over the weekend, meaning my brains are still in place :

1. Chicken vs Fish vs Pork?

As I was slowly picking my food at the chap fan stall, this question hit me. After thinking deep and hard, my pick would be fish, then chicken and pork. I only took 1 factor into consideration: BONE MARROW! Good enough reason?

2. Stranger from behind?

Have you ever walked alone behind a person (also alone) on the same narrow path where there's no one around? I don't know why but almost always I'm in the position of the stranger from behind. Today, I was forced to follow behind some white guy almost twice my size. I kept seeing his head tilting to the right, secretly looking at me. And his left fist was all ready in case of anything. For both me and him, very very very stressful! Finally, I decided to walk faster and pass him, keeping my distance from him as much as I can. Thank God nothing happened!

Soon after that, by this thing called coincidence, I had to follow 2 ladies from behind on the way to the toilet. What am I to do on a situation like that? Where should my eyes look at if they look back at me? I saw them whispering to each other though, holding their handbags tighter and again, secretly looking back at me. Why oh why do I have to be the ever-so-suspicious one?

And the worst of all cases, which happened quite a while back. Around 11pm+, I was walking back home from DU to my place. I had to walk behind a lady on the pedestrian bridge and no one was around. She was around 20 meters in front of me, yet I sensed her fear. As she got off the bridge and to her car, I saw her madly panicking trying to open her car door with her key and looking at me walk down the steps the whole time. I bet her heart was beating faster than the quick repetitive hits of the drums by lion dance groups. Anyway, she finally got into her car, locked the door right away and sped off without even wearing her safety belt. I'm that scary, huh?

3. Pets?

Did you check out Pet Safari in The Curve lately? Back then, they were selling a raccoon and a very tiny monkey. I must say I was fascinated by both, especially the tiny monkey. (By the way, my mum who's scared of every furry animal says she found that monkey cute, means I may have a slight chance of owning it!) Today, they were selling pen-length crocodiles and millipedes. Well, I'll get used to it soon enough.

Just so you know, the other animals on sale are dogs, cats, hamsters, hedgehogs, gerbils, lizards, geckos, frogs, snakes, birds, tarantulas, tortoises, fishes, shrimps and lobsters. I may have missed out a few more. See, I'm helping them promote their pet store for free! Not coz I want the monkey from them =P

Random pics:

What a way to start the morning, seeing a lizard unable to get out of my sink! I kept easily a meter from it everytime I enter the kitchen. I'm not afraid of iguanas, monitor lizards, chameleons, comodo dragons (ok, maybe not comodo dragons) but house lizards, that's something to fear! Luckily my family's at home to remove the lizard, else I won't be doing dishes for a very long time. My mum used chopsticks and grabbed that little fellar and gently releasing it on the kitchen floor and simultaneously I jumped on the sofa just in case the first place it runs to is to me who is lying down on the living room floor. I think me and the lizard are perfectly negatively correlated haha

2 things :

i) What is Had Sempadan Penyenggaraan LDP? Ask me to translate that into English and you'll never get your answer.

ii) Look at my side mirror, the car looks soooo close as if it's touching my car. But look at my blind spot mirror, it's actually quite far away. I don't understand why the side mirror gives an image that appears to be much closer than what it actually is. Did they design side mirrors to be like that or does it have something to do with the viewing angle? Umm nevermind, I don't think I'll be able to understand even if you told me why lol

Typo alert! The header states (April 19 - 25) but the blue column shows May. If I were Shirley Temple Black, gone lah TheStar coz can sue them for providing misleading information. People already so happy coz managed to reach 81 years old, TheStar leh postpone to 1 month later.

For being a loyal customer in Tesco, they "gave" me free parking tickets! I actually collected them when their machine was down, now that it's up once again, I wonder if I can still use them. I wonder how's the accounting treatment for parking tickets. Are they considered stock? Then they must have some 'Stock Loss' coz of people like me =P

Ok, now to show how wise-men interpret the true meaning of things, where the usual minds have never gone before.

The owner is ready to become a Godfather coz he has strongly emphasised on becoming the second dad. (Man, I'm so good at this interpretation stuff!)

Betrayed by Friends

I definitely made friends with the WRONG people!

Maybe I should just "unfriend" the top 2 and remove them and I'll become top in my little friends list again! =D

Just kidding! =P

Compilation of Random Stories

Cili Padi Story:

Once upon a time, in a bak kut teh restaurant far away .....

The cili padi challenge awaits any brave warrior daring enough .....

To rid of these little green ferocious monsters .....

Without "life" support, can the brave warrior fight his way through?

In times like this, even the strongest break down .....

Yet he (the ultra-brave-strong-cool-perasan-knight) who had all the courage and strength made it through this impossible task without a single scratch and took victory as if there was no victory at all!

P.s. Ok, I must confess, that cili padi wasn't even hot one bit, probably some hybrid cili padi. Even pepper is spicier, seriously =P

Badminton Story:

Team Stoners vs Team Not-Serious

See our fun and relaxed looks

If you colour me brown and add on a tail, I may look like a monkey ^^

I'm quite sure I was laughing coz of Choon's must-shout-when-hit-shuttlecock-so-that-look-like-professionals

Now you know why they're Team Stoners, they stone as they wait for the shuttlecock

Ok, at least here look less stoner

Chia Her, you still stoning

In badminton, whether you hit the ball or not, you must pose for the camera to look cool

This is the best teamwork, look at Kenneth as Chia Her serves

Now look at Chia Her as Kenneth hits the ball

Chia Her finally unleashed his kung fu sensation!

Now Team Stoners less stoners already, so we Team Not-Serious gotta get more serious now

Chill first

Getting serious

Ok, now we're serious!

Fuyoh Choon! Ganas betul your pose! Definitely can hit 300km/h shot already! That will bring a chill down the spines of our opponents!!!

But the only problem here is I haven't even serve the ball yet, so better luck next time lol

Yau Char Kway Story:

Saya sebiji Yau Char Kway,
Oh! Iri hatinya aku memikirkan tentangnya,
Mengapakah aku yang dihalau keluar?
Mengapakah aku yang terpaksa bersendirian di sini?
Bukankah semua Yau Char Kway sehati sejiwa?
Namun, aku tidak berputus asa dengan hidupku yang malang ini,
Minit demi minit, jam demi jam aku berdoa,
Akhirnya, aku dikembalikan ke rumah merah aku,
Bersama kawan-kawanku yang baru,
Itu namanya "recycle"! =D

And who said Malaysia got only a few sources of gold?
They're everywhere, you can even dig them up when you're on the road!

Guess what's the name of the exit sign in that restaurant?

Ah Bai!

Look ma, I went to church!

Saturday:

Bunny called me out for a movie in her church, "Facing the Giants". Before that, we made an agreement: she drive us there in her car and I drive us back in her car haha The movie was a very meaningful one but she said the movie "Fireproof" the night before was much better T_T

Got introduced to her friends but I still have problems remembering their names + faces. I hope I don't meet any of the adults in shopping malls coz I really really really can't remember their faces, what more, their names. Then, headed back home, the monkey drive! Showed her around my place and ask my mum to give her some baking recipes. I pity her. She had a 20-30 minutes lecture from my mum on the topic 'Buns'. Little that I could comprehend.

Sunday:

Manage to wake up early and go for the youth thingy in her church again. This time, the agreement's turned the other way round: I drive us there in my car and she drives us back in my car. So, we're even now. I enjoyed listening to the stories but noticed that some people were dead bored. I don't mind going every week coz I get to know more about Christianity. I may be a free thinker, but I actually enjoy learning more about all religions.

Eh Nicole, I show you how great my memory is, ok? Among ALL the names that I can remember is Michelle, Michelle, Michelle, Elvyna (*corrected*), Denise, Jamie, Jess, Jeremy, Justin, Joshua and Keira (please excuse me if there are any misspelling of names). So how much would you rate my memory on a scale of 10? =D Btw, there's this 3-brothers in Kumon (Uptown) by the name of Jeremy-Justin-Joshua Poh, so coincidental right?

Oh no! I didn't get any easter eggs or easter bunny! Umm I'll just imagine the apple pie is the easter eggs and you are the easter bunny la, simple! haha

Random Pics:

This is the product of our so called A&W leftovers, I'll just name it Mr. Chilli-Tomato

This is how our expressions were after finishing our meals, can you sense dissatisfaction in Mr. Chilli-Tomato's face?

To all you financial analysts and experts out there, I'm sure you've heard of the term "Riding the yield curve". What about "Riding the Spiderman curve"?

Umm no?

Ooh a truly historic moment! I'm in the top 20!

And Smartboy is in the bottom 20! For once I beat Smartboy in something hahaha =P

Random Event:

Do you know how dangerous webcams are? All Fei Mao's fault, she helped one of her guy friends test his webcam on MSN. Being me, I kpc go see who her friend is and he was shirtless. So I asked my sister, "Eeeyyerrr why he don't wear shirt wan?!"? She just kept silent and kicked me. Then only I realized the microphone was turned on all the while! OMGSPLITBANANAWITHACHERRYONTOP!!!

And the other danger is sometimes you may be unaware that you're in the webcam's background.  So there my dad was, sleeping in his singlet with his arms held high and a belly that defies the law of gravity, just behind Fei Mao. What a splendid view for her friend, my oh my.

Let The Pictures Do The Talking

Just another usual Saturday night, doing some grocery shopping but this time at Selayang. There were quite a number of trolleys available with a coin slot each. So coolly I walked to the trolley, pulled my wallet out, gave Fei Mao some snobbish look, took my shiny 20 sen coin out and inserted it into the slot. Pulled the trolley but there was some inexplicable force that prevented me from doing so! "What the! My 20 sen coin isn't the KEY for this trolley?" *Pull harder some more but that now-explicable force is still there*

And so, the great wise monkey had a plan. I stood away from that spot, thinking to myself, "The next person that pulls out the trolley would surely look uncool, just like me just now! hehehe" *Ka-ching!* That person inserted a coin and easily pulled the trolley away. This made me wonder, "Perhaps it was a 50 sen coin!" Again, I tried with a 50 sen coin, and it ... didn't work ... not even the 20 sen coin. Make me look uncool 2X only! Next time I'm boycotting their trolleys.

My mum called and we resorted to a basket. At first, I thought it was a good idea coz I recently discovered that my right arm is slightly bigger than my left arm, needed some weight to balance both up. As the items were thrown in the basket, it got heavier and heavier and heavier til the point that the plastic bent when I held it up. It must have weighed at least 5kgs and I had to bring it with me every meter I walk. I think my left shoulder was lift up higher than my right one as I carried that basket of goods and not services. I don't wanna look deformed - left shoulder higher than right shoulder and right arm bigger than left arm! Hopefully when I sleep tonight and wake up tomorrow morning, I can see both arms being the same size.

Anyways, did the over-the-counter (OTC) transaction and I computed the weight-weighted average index for that basket of goods and not services. Sorry, had to use all these terms coz I didn't study today, feel a bit guilty.

Here's what I can deduce from the picture above:

1. What comes in, must go out (in a different colour though).
2. Every action has its equal reaction.
3. A counterattack.
4. "The Uprise of the Urinals", coming to cinema toilets near you!

But no matter what, it can't possibly be

5. Piping problems.

I can't believe I spent 3 digits buying this! And after I watched youtube videos on "How to use nunchucks?", they suggested foam or rubber ends for beginners! So if I start with this steel-ends, who knows what massive destruction I can cause to myself and the area surrounding me. I have no idea why I'm into collecting weapons also. Perhaps, I should start utilizing each and every one of them, then can become hero at the right time, right place and with the right person :P

Oh ya, does anyone have a clue on any of these?
  1. Why W is pronounced double-u? It should be double-v.
  2. Why are kaya balls not ball-shaped? They're only round at the top and flat at the bottom.
  3. What's up with the name Pendrive? It isn't as long as a pen also.
  4. I undertand cent is sen but dollar is ringgit? Why not Malaysian dolar?
  5. Just how white can white be? I see some white that are whiter than plain clean white.
  6. Why 5 fingers per hand and 5 toes per foot? Why not more or less?
  7. Where do house lizards live before houses were built? And why migrate to houses after that?
  8. Is it possible to cut a 1-meter-square round platform into 3 EXACT portions?
  9. Why the chinese people in China, America and Malaysia/Singapore look different?
  10. What's the purpose of dreams when we're sleeping? Mine doesn't make sense

Productive Friday

Morning

Learnt more about the tax assignment question
Succeeded in Facebooking people

Afternoon

Learnt more about the Malaysian stock market
- disappointed that it's illegal to short sell here
- realized that I'm a KISSer and not a KILLer :P

Learnt that Kenneth isn't into "lump sum payments" at all

Evening

Learnt how to play badminton the PROPER way
- thanks to Mr. Uncle (forgot his name already)

Night

Learnt that we shouldn't make wishes without thinking

- Choon said the car's more powerful when the aircond is turned off (it could be he wished to drive without aircond with the rest of us in his car). Oh wow! His wish came true! Fantastic! Soonafter, the car's battery kept dying every 3-5 minutes, and we were on the LDP! Just to be safe, we turned off the aircond. Still, the car was sick.

- And then that's where my wish came true. I jokingly said, "Eh later when we reach Yun Theng's house, we can swap your car for her Toyota or Honda." And so we reached Yun Theng's house, and no one had a single clue on what's wrong with Choon's car. Her dad then decided to let him (Choon) leave his car there and use his (Yun Theng's dad) Toyota instead to fetch me, Ken and himself back home. Paisehness kicks in yo!

Oh wait, in between somewhere, I learnt what's under a car's hood and how to open the hood. Choon stood in front of his car, anxiously waited for me to open the hood while Kenneth looked on. On my first try, I pulled a lever and it turns out to be the one to adjust the steering wheel! Quite potong I must say, I hope they didn't -_-" but I got it right on my second try.

By the way, 1.3 litre manual Malaysian sedan swap for a 2.2 litre automatic Japanese sedan!

"Wohohoohoooo!"
*Shocked expression*
*Shakes head*
*Beats chest 5-10 times*
*KAUM!*
